Chess problems are heavily in demand, but previously they were quite expensive to purchase, whilst expensive chess fonts made it even more complex to print and eventually use. With ROQA Chess Problems, this is a thing of the past!

The chess problems we offer are solved in two moves, so they are perfectly adopted for passionate amateurs of the game, but we also provide more complex chess problems for the more advanced player on request.

Fully-vectored pieces

All pieces, tones etc. are fully vectored, the advantage being that no fonts are needed, therefore they're compatible with every computer operating system available. Our files are fully flexible to your every need, so much that they easily adapt to every form of tone, e.g. fine tones for magazines, and coarse tones for puzzle books.

Individual Design

The tones you see on the black squares on the chessboard are made up of 20% grey tone. This technique originates from a time when simpler printing procedures were used. Nowadays this technique is not so appealing to the passionate chess player. ROQA chess problems are easily adaptable to newspaper format, even though it's in greyscale ...

... if on the other hand, colours are used, squares, frames or pieces are equally easy to print and colour.

Wood and marble textures can be provided on demand.

File Formats

Our chess problems are also available all the usual bitmap formats, as well as in Adobe Illustrator files and EPS format, making it compatible with any operating system in existence.

Solutions

Solutions are given in text form, and can be delivered in RTF data format for both PC and Mac, Pagemaker Tagged Text, Xpress-Tags as well as in Plain Text format both Windows or Mac.
